Tiercon is an automotive supplier committed to the manufacture of quality exterior and interior trim and bumper systems used as original equipment in the automotive markets.  Headquartered in Stoney Creek, the plants have moulding, painting and assembly capability, employing approximately 600 people throughout the 4 Canadian facilities and 1 US facility.  Tiercon is seeking a knowledgeable, self directed and hard working individual interested in the automotive industry as a Quality Auditor at our Stoney Creek facility.


Perform and maintain first and last off's for Moulding area, inprocess checks for EOPL (end of paint line), Final audit for assembly area including activities as below

  • Inspection of parts, process and assembly (Mould, EOPL, Assembly)
  • Reaction Mode: Escalation of quality issued as directed.
  • Follow the containment process
  • Identify and Report scrap product
  • Participate in the SCAR process as required.
  • Participate in Fast Response Meetings as required.
  • Conduct Layered Audits of work areas as scheduled and take appropriate action.
  • Colour match to standard (EOPL, Assembly)
  • Fit to gauge/fixture (Moulding, Assembly)
  • Match to appearance standard boundary samples (EOPL, Assembly, Moulding)
  • Packaging and label checks (EOPL, Moulding, Assembly)
  • Assist in production reject analysis (EOPL, Moulding, Assembly)
  • Assist with trials when required (EOPL, Moulding)
  • Assist production supervisor with ongoing quality issues, reject rate causes and instructions to operators including quality alerts caused by customer complaints (EOPL, Moulding, Assembly)
  • Calibrating Inspectors / Operators verify inspector/ operator knowledge (EOPL, Moulding, Assembly)
  • Provide documented verification of quality audits per part number/shift basis (EOPL, Moulding)
  • Assist with implementation, ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 responsibilities as per ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 Quality Manual. (EOPL, Moulding, Assembly)
  • Training of inspectors / operators on quality standards (EOPL, Moulding, Assembly)
  • Maintain cleanliness and keep updated all quality areas including boundary sample boards, auditing areas and fixture areas (EOPL, Mould, Assembly)
  • Support Overtime Needs for Production as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Summary of Position:

  • Reports to the Quality Supervisor / QA Lead
  • Audit and inspect production process for proper adherence to pre-assigned quality requirements
  • To be familiar with and practice and promote all aspects of the ISO9001:2015 and IATF 16949 Quality System and Health & Safety policies.


  • Grade 12 and 2 years College in Quality / Manufacturing / Engineering related field or equivalent exp.
  • 3 year automotive manufacturing experience or 5 years manufacturing ISO 9001 exp.
