Tiercon is an automotive supplier committed to the manufacture of quality exterior and interior trim and bumper systems used as original equipment in the automotive markets. Headquartered in Stoney Creek, the plants have moulding, painting and assembly capability, employing approximately 650 people throughout 4 Canadian facilities, and 1 managed US facility. Tiercon is seeking a knowledgeable, self directed, experienced and hard working individual interested in the automotive industry as an Industrial Millwright at of one of our Stoney Creek  facilities.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Millwright is responsible for performing and documenting all necessary maintenance and repairs for all production equipment and facilities, ensuring that plant and processing equipment is in safe and good working order. In addition, (s)he will assist the Maintenance Supervisor in the resolution of equipment problems and the installation of new equipment.  (S)he will be responsible for, adhering to the policies and procedures outlined in the TS 16949 Quality System  and practicing continuous improvement wherever possible.


  • To maintain, repair and/or rebuild: Industrial plastic processing equipment, machine water service system (from chillers & tower), compressed air system.
  • Daily perform and document scheduled maintenance as outlined on Maintenance Request logs; ensure safety issues are handled in timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and assess basic mechanical and electrical equipment problems; make recommendations for repairs and implement where feasible.
  • Assist Maintenance Supervisor in resolving equipment problems, installing new equipment, and other special projects.
  • Design and fabricate various projects, ie guards, platforms
  • To assist with machine set-ups and assure proper operating parameters are steadily maintained throughout production.
  • To assist with mould changes and liaise with tool room on mould repairs.
  • Assist with minor modifications and repairs to customer tooling & associated documentation.
  • Comply with all company health and safety regulations ensuring a safe work environment at all times and reporting accidents, incidents and known or potential hazards immediately.
  • Promote continuous improvement in all areas of Maintenance.
  • Perform duties as assigned from time to time.


  • Licensed 433A OR 442A OR equivalent work experience
  • Licensed 431A an asset
  • Working knowledge in non-licensed trade
  • Experience with Plastic Injection Mold Equipment
  • 3-5 Years in a maintenance capacity in a manufacturing environment
